It feels like something sacred (and maybe dangerous) is about to happen. The way Ica locks eyes with Nala was unnerving and it feels like she knows whatβs coming before anyone else does. I could almost feel the world slip away with Granβs last exhale. Pure magic π«Άπβ¨
Ugh I wanna keep reading but I need to go to sleep ππ₯Ί
I'm wondering if, growing up, Ica's nickname might've been Icky. I'm also curious what ill Icky Ica will be up to when the orcs come out of their Telling reverie. It'd be a good opportunity if she's some kind of villain, though my predictions but been all misses thus far.
INCREDIBLE introduction to Ica!!!! Really opens your curiosity about her and her connection to Gran.... and some dark foreboding about how rough Ica can be!
WOW E! What an amazing way to describe how this part is written. The tension rippling underneath is so true, and yet it is still so lighthearted (mostly!) With Nala enjoying things like tellings and going to festival with Gran. Endearing and intriguing and treacherous all at once!!
Its so beautiful and clear writing! You deserve more fantasy fans, Anthony!! π₯πππππ
I'm so glad you liked it!
I'm in no rush, and as I get better and better, good things will keep happening. That's my hope at least.
^.^

I'm so glad! It feels so slow, and I hope the payoff is every bit worth it!
Just a couple chapters before things get wild...
